WE CONTROL CLIMATE CHANGE - YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

We all know that climate change is real, but what most don't believe is that we CAN make a difference. We CAN make informed choices now. We CAN reduce risks for future generations and ourselves, and help communities adapt to climate change. The old saying "where there's a will, there's a way" is quite correct. The words MY WILL and their meaning, are part of the State and Federal Constitution. The requirement for an individual with a determination to act lawfully to right or alter something he/she doesn’t like, and with the initiative to do so, is to write his/her “MY WILL” letter, show others and encourage them to do likewise. There are a multitude of issues upon which people have strong convictions and the simple “MY WILL” letter is their lawful simple way of telling their M.P. 
Our elected government needs to enact new laws that cap carbon emissions and require polluters pay for the global warming gases that they produce. Sign this petition so I can send a message to your elected officials, letting them know that you will hold them accountable for what they do -- or fail to do -- about global warming.

Hon. Mr Greg Hunt MP, in accordance with my lawful obligation to keep you informed of MY WILL, I inform you that it is MY WILL that you take immediate action to complete a  zero reductions emissions target by 2030.  It is also my will that environmental and economic benefits of adding renewable energy to the next Federal and State Portfolio must include: Full compliance to the formation and production of renewable energy sources. Renewable energy is the energy that is derived from a limitless source, in contrast to fossil fuels derived from a finite source. Types of renewables include solar energy (power from the Sun), wind energy, tidal energy (power from the seas) and geothermal energy (power in the form of heat from within the Earth). Including greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuels to be phased out completely by 2050. We must diversify energy supply and reduce dependence on imported fuels.

Please note that the whole system of Parliament, and the SOLE reason for its existence, is to make laws for the people, with the clear implication that those laws will reflect the WILL of the people on the subject matter of those laws. The subject matter is Climate Change.

Many people don’t realise that we are committed right now to a significant amount of global warming and sea level rise…the longer we wait to do something about it, the more change we will have. 

We need to stabilise our climate and prevent unprecedented negative impacts on the economy and our climate. 

Critical risks for Australia include: sea level rise; ocean acidification (when carbon dioxide reacts with water to create carbonic acid); severe recurring droughts and drying trends; increase in extreme weather events such as heat waves, bushfires and floods.

The Earth has experienced many natural climate changes since its creation, however at this point in time, we as a species are quickening this phenomena. Sound scientific investigation strongly supports the idea that emitting large amounts of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere poses considerable risk to humans and the environment.

How could I look my grandchildren in the eye and say I knew about this and did nothing.....how can you?

It is my WILL that you take the next step, from just talking about it and planning one strategy and then another and another, to putting it into action now.
We cannot solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.
